Ossoff and Warnock are delivering $102,000 to Atkinson County through the Federal&nbsp;Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER)&nbsp;program&nbsp;to retain and hire firefighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Warnock secured resources for the SAFER program with bipartisan support through last year\u2019s government funding package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFirefighters in Atkinson County and across Georgia put their lives on the line to keep families safe,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cSenator Warnock and I will never stop championing Georgia\u2019s heroic fire departments, and these resources will help them respond to emergencies that threaten lives and property.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur firefighters are some of the&nbsp;best&nbsp;among us.
