Ossoff speaks on passage of his bill<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C. \u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff\u2019s bill to construct a new Battle Management Combined Operations Complex at Robins Air Force Base passed the Senate&nbsp;as part of this year\u2019s&nbsp;<em>National Defense Authorization Act.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff introduced the&nbsp;<em>Robins Air Force Base Battle Management Enhancement Act<\/em>&nbsp;to enable construction of a Battle Management Combined Operations Complex at Robins AFB, strengthening the Air Force\u2019s national defense strategy and capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am working for Middle Georgia every single day, and of course that means working to upgrade Robins Air Force Base. I am pleased to announce that I passed my legislation to upgrade facilities on Robins with bipartisan support from Republicans and Democrats,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThis is crucial to our national security to make sure the men and women who serve at Robins have the facilities and infrastructure they need to do their jobs keeping our nation safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Battle Management Combined Operations Center will house three new missions for the Air Force, including E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node squadron operations; Battle Management Control Squadron operations; and a Group Headquarters for a Spectrum Warfare Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Robins AFB\u2019s Battle Management Control Squadron will begin arriving in 2023 and become fully operational by fiscal year 2025. The first E-11A BACN aircraft arrived at Robins AFB in the spring of 2023 and the unit is expected be fully operational by fiscal year 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since his first year in Congress, Sen. Ossoff has worked with his Republican and Democratic colleagues in Congress to establish new missions at Robins AFB that will provide an integrated set of command-and-control capabilities for the Air Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last August, Sens.
