Ossoff and Rev. Warnock successfully secured bipartisan support in Congress to build a new instructional facility at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon to expand the college\u2019s nursing workforce development program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workforce development investment from the U.S. Department of Commerce\u2019s Economic Development Administration (EDA) will help create new growth opportunities for professionals in the health care sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSenator Warnock and I are pleased to help deliver this investment in Georgia\u2019s health care workforce to ensure Mount Vernon, Montgomery County, and Central Georgia\u2019s residents can get great health care,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNurses play a critical role in keeping us healthy and keeping our health care system afloat,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said Senator Reverend Warnock.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m proud to help secure this critical funding to address the nursing workforce shortage. This funding is part of my broader efforts to improve health care access for all Georgians, especially Georgians in rural parts of the state. I\u2019ll continue to support workforce development for medical professionals, fight for federal resources for rural hospitals, and work to expand Medicaid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs part of the Biden Administration\u2019s Investing in America agenda, we\u2019re ensuring that workers have the skills and resources they need to secure good-paying jobs in the communities where they live,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThis EDA investment will increase training opportunities in southern Georgia and create pathways to professional growth in the healthcare sector, helping to meet regional industry workforce needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to expand Georgia\u2019s healthcare workforce and ensure communities across the state have access to high quality care. Last year, Sen.
