Ossoff Urges Georgia Veterans to Apply for Expanded Health Care Benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Veterans who apply for \u201cPACT Act\u201d benefits&nbsp;<strong><u>by Monday, August 14<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;may be eligible to receive benefits backdated to 2022<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Georgia veterans can find more information about the \u201cPACT Act\u201d and apply for benefits at&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/va.gov\/PACT\"><em>VA.Gov\/PACT<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Atlanta, Ga.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013\u2013 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is urging Georgia veterans to apply for expanded health care benefits through the&nbsp;<em>PACT Act&nbsp;<\/em>by Monday, August 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there is no deadline for veterans to sign-up for&nbsp;<em>PACT Act<\/em>&nbsp;benefits through the VA, veterans who file aclaim, or submit their intent to file a claim,&nbsp;<strong>by Monday, August 14<\/strong>, may be eligible to receive benefits backdated to August 2022 \u2014 meaning veterans may receive reimbursements for health care costs incurred dating back to August 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The original August 9 deadline to apply was extended until this Monday. Georgia veterans can find more information about the&nbsp;<em>PACT Act&nbsp;<\/em>and apply for benefits at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/va.gov\/PACT\">VA.Gov\/PACT<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff championed this bipartisan legislation to expand VA health care benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances, and the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>PACT Act&nbsp;<\/em>was signed into law last August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fb.watch\/mkM57RuK9i\/\">held a&nbsp;live&nbsp;<\/a><a><u>telephone town hall<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;alongside Major General Thomas Grabowski, Retired Commander of the Georgia Air National Guard, to brief veterans across Georgia about&nbsp;expanded health benefits&nbsp;through the&nbsp;bipartisan&nbsp;<em>PACT Act<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veterans across Georgia who have questions or need assistance with their veterans\u2019 benefits can contact Sen.
