Ossoff continues working to bring Republicans and Democrats together to keep children safe and crack down on predators and abusers<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C. \u2014<\/strong>&nbsp;Today,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-working-across-the-aisle-to-prosecute-online-sexual-predators-who-target-children\/\">bipartisan legislation championed<\/a>&nbsp;by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff to prosecute sexual predators who target children online passed the Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Project Safe Childhood Act<\/em>, which Sen. Ossoff helped introduce earlier this year with Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), would strengthen the DOJ\u2019s Project Safe Childhood program and boost resources to combat the online sexual exploitation of children in Georgia and across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill would strengthen protections for victims, increase funding for Federal prosecutors and law enforcement, authorize an additional 20 U.S. Attorneys to prosecute child sex abuse cases, and boost cooperation between Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute child sex abuse and exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe must work relentlessly to end the sexual abuse of children. That\u2019s why I\u2019m bringing Republicans and Democrats together to help law enforcement crack down on abusers and traffickers who target children and ensure they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,\u201d<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill is also cosponsored by Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Peter Welch (D-VT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill is endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police, National Children\u2019s Alliance, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, National District Attorneys Association, National Association of Police Organizations, National Center on Sexual Exploitation, Rights 4 Girls, and Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues to be a champion for child safety across Georgia and nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Sen. Ossoff\u2019s bipartisan legislation to strengthen protections against sexual abuse of children and online exploitation&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/breaking-sen-ossoffs-bipartisan-bill-to-protect-children-from-online-predators-sexual-exploitation-passes-u-s-senate\/\">passed<\/a>&nbsp;the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen.
