Sen. Ossoff honors Kornisha McGill Brown for being a champion for children and youth in Georgia and across the United States<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Columbus, Ga. \u2014 <\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is honoring Kornisha McGill Brown for her lifetime of service on behalf of Georgia\u2019s families with an official U.S. Senate commendation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A native of Thomaston, GA, Ms. Brown has dedicated her life to education and youth professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, Kornisha McGill Brown was elected as the 27th National President of Jack and Jill of America, the nation\u2019s oldest African American family organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing more than 245 chapters across the country, Ms. Brown works to ensure that future generations of African American leaders have access to opportunities to reach their maximum potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBorn and raised in Georgia, Ms. McGill Brown has dedicated her personal and professional life to supporting children and families across the State, working as a public school educator, philanthropist, and youth professional development leader over the course of her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe also dedicates her time to several service organizations in her community, including serving on the Board of for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley and as a member of the Columbus chapter of The Links, Incorporated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
