Ossoff\u2019s \u201cIndustrial Energy-Efficient Technology Act\u201d to create good-paying jobs and reduce energy bills for businesses in Georgia and nationwide<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C. \u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is continuing his work to reduce energy costs for Georgia\u2019s businesses and manufacturers and boost American competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Sens. Ossoff, Bob Casey (D-PA), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) urged Congressional leadership to include key provisions in the upcoming American competitiveness bill to strengthen the country\u2019s energy efficiency and boost global competitiveness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Tina Smith (D-MN), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and co-leads Representatives Kathy Castor (D-FL-14) and Mike Doyle (D-PA-18), as well as Sean Casten (D-IL-06) and Abigail Spanberger (D-VA-07) joined the letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs you negotiate a final compromise bill addressing American economic and technological competitiveness, we write to urge inclusion of three provisions in the House-passed America COMPETES Act,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>the members wrote.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cPrioritizing investments in our industrial base will not only improve efficiency and reduce GHG emissions and co-pollutants, but drive growth in energy communities across the nation, protecting and creating high quality jobs and increasing the global competitiveness of American companies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The State Flex-Tech Energy Program, amending the&nbsp;<em>Clean Industrial Technology Act&nbsp;<\/em>(CITA), and the First Three program would rapidly scale energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy costs for businesses across Georgia and the nation and lower carbon emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff has positioned himself as a leader in clean energy since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate last year. Sen. Ossoff\u2019s landmark&nbsp;<em>Solar Energy Manufacturing for America Act<\/em>&nbsp;will help&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-introduces-legislation-to-rapidly-boost-american-solar-manufacturing\/\">supercharge<\/a>&nbsp;domestic solar manufacturing and create tens of thousands of jobs in Georgia and nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-introduces-bill-to-make-energy-efficient-technology-more-affordable-for-georgia-families-lower-energy-bills\/\">introduced<\/a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>Clean Energy for All Homes Act<\/em>, which would reduce the cost of installing renewable energy systems and help middle-class and lower-income families lower their energy bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last December, Sen.
