Ossoff met with the Chief Executive Director of the Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO) and senior executives who manage Georgia-based presences of Kubota, Murata Electronics, Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC, Nichiha, TOTO, Yamaha, and YKK. Sen. Ossoff encouraged the businesses represented at the meeting to invest in new facilities and opportunities in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgia.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2021-05\/georgia_japan_connection_2021.pdf\">Georgia Department of Economic Development<\/a>, there are more than 343 Japanese facilities operating in Georgia, employing approximately 30,000 Georgians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues his efforts to support international commerce that benefits Georgia and to strengthen the vital U.S.-Japan alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, Sen.
