Ossoff&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-working-to-reduce-baby-formula-shortages\/\"><em>launched a push<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;to reduce baby formula shortages in Georgia and nationwide<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Bill heads to President\u2019s desk for his signature<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013\u2013 Today the U.S. Senate passed bipartisan legislation co-sponsored by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff to expand access to baby formula for at-risk families amid shortages in Georgia and nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Access to Baby Formula Act<\/em>, which also passed the U.S. House of Representatives yesterday, will ensure that families who purchase baby formula through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) are allowed to purchase baby formula during a national recall, shortage, or public health emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost half of all babies born in the United States receive nutritional support through the WIC program, but their families are restricted by the type of formula they can purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo parents should have to worry that they can\u2019t feed their baby. That\u2019s why we passed this legislation to help address this critical shortage of formula,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen.
