Ossoff is pushing to pass the&nbsp;<em>Military Hunger Prevention Act of 2021,&nbsp;<\/em>which would help ensure low-income servicemembers, who are often forced to rely on food pantries and food banks, have better access to food and nutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estimates find roughly one-in-eight military families are currently food insecure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is unacceptable that Georgia\u2019s junior enlisted personnel and military families struggle to afford groceries,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Sen. Ossoff<\/strong>. \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m working to increase benefits and compensation for our service members \u2014 to ensure those who serve our country never have to worry about putting food on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues to advocate on behalf of Georgia\u2019s servicemembers in all aspects.
